I was born in Chicago and am 1 of 3 sons brought to this world by Barney and Faye Berns. Barney was the Founder of Dad’s Root Beer and the person I most admired.

One of my brothers is actually my twin, but he might say it is lucky that we are only fraternal.  He is my best friend, but my wife runs a very close second. (I just happened to know him longer).

Speaking of my wife, we will be married 50 years on May 30 2008. As you can see, I believe in stable relationships but she is the one that made it work. I have 2 great daughters, Jodi and Stacey…and that alone makes me a lucky man.

I went to grade school at Clinton Grammar School, High School at Senn, 2 years of college at the University of Illinois (Champaign/Urbana) and 2 years at Roosevelt University in Chicago where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – with a major in marketing.

You might say that I am a serial entrepreneur ….which I think is a good thing as it gave me a broad based knowledge of every facet of business and how to build a company with maximum effort and minimum cash burn.

I am now enjoying my life more than ever for the past 5 years as CEO of MediaNet Group Technologies and its prime operating company, BSP Rewards, Inc.

Someday I plan to “semi-retire” and reduce my 70 hour work week all the way down to 55 hours.
